Officially unveiled and announced this week, the YOKKAO Diamond Champion belt has garnered the attention of the global Muay Thai community. The first-ever YOKKAO Diamond Championship title bout is now confirmed for Saenchai vs Shan Cangelosi taking place this week on YOKKAO 46 in Turin, Italy.
Set to be a historical fight in our promotion’s history, the living legend will fight highly-respected Italian fighter, Cangelosi in the main event. This also marks the second meeting between the two in Turin with Saenchai winning via decision in their 2017 outing. Cangelosi is no walkover and will return to show himself on the world stage at YOKKAO 46.
Over the course of a 32-year fighting career, Saenchai has captured 16 championship titles across five different weight divisions. He is also a two-time fighter of the year recipient and holds an impressive record of nearly 300 wins in 344 fights. Saenchai also spent the last five years holding Muay Thai seminars, sharing and imparting his knowledge around the world. A widely respected athlete, Saenchai will go on stage at YOKKAO 46 and show why he is one of the greatest Muay Thai legends of all time.
At YOKKAO 45-46, Saenchai and Cangelosi will be joined by top fighters from Italy as well as notable YOKKAO Fight Team members including Singdam, Manachai, Yochai, and Faipha.
