Superlek's US Tour Heats Up as He Trains With UFC Contenders

Superlek’s tour of MMA gyms in the United States continues to heat up as he trains with UFC stalwarts. It is a continuation of the tour that started on 29 January when he trained with Johnny Eblen at the American Top Team Gym in Coconut Creek, Florida.

Things kicked off very nicely as the exchange of disciplines was there between the two fighters from the start. Superlek and Eblen kept it fun and lighthearted, highlighting key aspects of both Muay Thai and MMA. And the respect was evidently there throughout the exchange, with the primary purpose of building camaraderie through martial arts.

The next stop in Superlek’s tour was a training session the very next day with another formidable middleweight. This time it’s Tresean Gore of the UFC, and it was held at the American Top Team - Team Lima gym in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Gore is nicknamed ‘Mr. Vicious’, but he was actually the consummate professional during the light training session. Superlek thoroughly enjoyed the sparring session which gave him a new appreciation for grappling.

Moving on to the next tour stop, Superlek and the YOKKAO Team headed to the Gracie Barra The Woodlands Gym in Spring, Texas on 01 February. There, he trained with a couple of up-and-coming MMA fighters in Ricky Turcios and Alex Morono. Turcios, a rising bantamweight, won the TUF Tournament to get to the UFC, while Morono, is a veteran welterweight of the promotion. The two provided another great experience for Superlek in what was also a free-flowing session in a friendly training environment.

The tour then went to Denver, Colorado, where Superlek met up and trained with standout UFC Bantamweight Cory ‘the Sandman’ Sandhagen at the High Altitude Martial Arts Gym. While the sparring session was fun-filled and easygoing, it was also competitive and thrilling to watch. The action continued the following day in Las Vegas, Nevada’s Syndicate MMA Gym, where Superlek had an awesome time taking turns training with Johnny ‘The Sluggernaut’ Parsons and Joanne Calderwood, with SyndicateMMA head coach John Wood also in attendance!

Aside from the fun-filled training and exchange of disciplines with Superlek, the UFC fighters were also introduced to YOKKAO’s latest MMA gear. They got to test and use the latest collection that will soon take the MMA world by storm. The tour is truly more than just a cross-training event between Superlek and some of the best MMA fighters in the US. It is also shaping up to be a groundbreaking event in martial arts that could have long-term benefits for everyone involved. But there’s still more to come as Superlek’s US Tour grinds on!
