YOKKAO Fight Team Welcomes New Addition: Nuenglanlek Jitmuangnon

After just announcing Rodtang Jitmuangnon’s signing to the YOKKAO Fight Team, one of his campmates from the renowned Jitmuangnon Gym has also confirmed to join the YOKKAO family. The newest addition is none other than 2019 fighter of the year, Nuenglanlek Jitmuangnon, who has signed a 3-year contract with YOKKAO.

Nuenglanlek is a well-rounded fighter adept with all weapons of Muay Thai. He is particularly known for his hard knee-fighting style, vicious elbows and heavy kicks.

Born in Kalasin province in 1995, Nuenglanlek started fighting when he was 7, following the footsteps of his father who was a former fighter. Nuenglanlek competed in Northeast Thailand and eventually settled down at Jitmuangnon Gym when he was 18.

Under the keen supervision of the trainers at Jitmuangnon, Nuenglanlek won the 2016 Lumpinee 130lbs championship title shortly after. He subsequently acquired the Omnoi stadium 135lbs championship belt in 2018.

The 24-year-old is now one of the top-ranked fighters in Thailand, often pitted against the best in the sport. He went on an impressive run throughout 2019 winning 6 out of 7 fight appearances. These include wins against elite champions like Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek-U-Thai, Muangthai PKSaenchaiGym, Yodlekpet Or Pitisak and Chujaroen Dabransarakarm.

Nuenglanlek’s award-winning 2019 performance also saw him finishing 4 out of his 6 victories by knockout. He out-elbowed the elbow king, Muangthai in two instances and scored two smashing round-4 finishers against KO specialist, Kulabdam.

Nuenglanlek now has his sights on reclaiming another championship title. He will be one to watch for.
