Manachai vs Julio Lobo Rematch at Lumpinee on 13 July
Manachai is set to return to Lumpinee Stadium this Saturday on the weekly Muay Thai Lumpinee TKO promotion. He will headline the event in a much-anticipated rematch with Thailand-based Brazilian fighter, Julio Lobo.
The pair first met in October 2018 for the WBC welterweight world title on YOKKAO 34 in Hong Kong. It was a memorable 5-round war between the two with Manachai putting in a dominating performance that saw him walking away with the belt via unanimous decision.
Fighting out of Phuket Fight Club, Lobo has been building a name for himself competing at Lumpinee stadium over the past year. The 24-year-old will pit his skills against Manachai once again in the ring on 13 July in an attempt to even the score.
Manachai was originally scheduled to fight on July 7 at Muay Thai Super Champ, but the opponent pulled out too close to the event for a replacement to be made. The coming fight marks Manachai's return to the ring since his last appearance in April and we expect him to make a statement.
The event is organized by Kiatpetch promoter, Mr Phirapong Theradeatpong and will kick off at 16:00 at Lumpinee stadium. Stay connected with us over social media for the latest updates.
